Adults only and AI characters: who is actually in Candy Shorts?

Fictional adults, by design

The premise of a series may involve a stepsister, a student or a babysitter, but the person on screen is a generated adult with no counterpart in the world. Candy AI builds the characters, keeps their faces consistent across episodes and labels the whole catalogue as adult content. Where a premise sits at a university, the characters are students aged 18 and over; the series are not set in any environment involving anyone under 18, and we would not list one if it were.

That is also why our pages talk about premise and tone rather than about who the performers are. There are no performers in the usual sense.

Digital twins of real creators

Some series carry the Adult stars category. In those, the lead character is a digital twin of a real adult performer, created from her likeness under an agreement with Candy AI. Our Host Is Riley Reid and Nerdy Stepdaughter are two examples, priced at 30 tokens rather than 12.

We repeat what Candy AI states about these licences and nothing else. The performers' private lives, careers and opinions are not our subject, and you will not find them discussed here.

Why it differs from filmed footage

Three differences are factual rather than a matter of opinion. None of this is legal advice; laws on generated adult content vary by country and change.

• Nobody was on set. No performer was asked to do anything; the question of consent on the day does not arise in the same way, and where a likeness is used, the consent is the licence itself.
• The story is authored. Each series is written and produced as fiction, with a premise, episodes and an ending, rather than recorded.
• The content is controllable. Candy AI decides what its generator may produce and applies platform rules to the characters, including in chat and pictures.

Age confirmation on Candy AI

Before the first episode plays, Candy AI shows a screen asking you to confirm you are an adult. At the time of writing this is a declaration, not a document check. The free account needed for episode 2 adds an email address but no further verification. Payment for tokens or a subscription goes through a card or payment provider, which is the point at which most users are in practice identified as adults. More on what is free in free or paid.

Notes for parents

A confirmation screen is not a barrier for a determined under-18, so the usual tools apply. Parental control filters on the router, the operating system or the browser can block the Candy AI domain, and most of them classify it as adult content already. Safe search settings on Google and Bing keep the series pages out of results.
